My practice is informed by deeply lived experience of complex trauma and hardship. I understand the challenges of navigating profound change, loss, and revival and how these may resonate for others.
Born into a mixed-heritage family, I have lived in different continents, cultures and contexts, encountering what is often hidden or overlooked by ordinary assumptions and social privilege. Being neurodivergent, I also recognise the often misunderstood perceptions, demands, gifts, and struggles this brings.
My embodied professional and personal knowledge enables me to hold space for others inconspicuously, and without prejudice or agenda, so that what is difficult or unspoken can be approached with compassion and integrity.
I have been practicing counselling and psychotherapy in UK now for well over a decade. In addition to my private practice, I occasionally work as a Seminar Leader and Tutor at Wessex Counselling and Psychotherapy Training Institute in Frome. Previous to this I held therapeutic, arts, and educational roles with children, adults, and groups in charities and organisations for over 30 years, including within the NHS.
I remain committed to ongoing learning. Alongside reflective peer group supervision, I regularly attend professional supervision with a senior Jungian analyst and actively engage in post-qualification training and studies (CPD) to ensure my practice is ethical, up to date, and relevant.
Some of the CPD courses and trainings I have undertaken include (but are not limited to):
Clinical and Complex Presentations: Trauma, Grief, Psychosis, Self-harm, Eating Disorders, Couples therapy, Relational psychoanalysis, Narcissism, Abusive/coercive relationships, Group work and group analysis, Autism, ADHD, AUDHD, Trans and non-binary, Dysphoria, PMT/DD, Menopause
Psychological Depth and Personal Insight: Jungian Studies, Active Imagination, Shadow Work, Dreams, Transpersonal Psychology, Neuropsychology, Meditation, Art and journalling.
Identity, Marginalisation, and Social Context: Neurodiversity, Sexuality & Gender, LGBTQ+, Race & Identity, Intersectionality, Oppression, Marginalisation, Decolonising Psychotherapy, Socio-politics, Critical Realism, Political psychology, Faith and Spirituality
I personally prefer not to use AI in any aspect of my work or writing.
